He was the valedictorian of his High School Class, graduated from the Dental School of the U of Mich in 1913 practiced first in Grand Ledge, Mich moving to Highland Park & Detroit in 1919 where he has practiced ever since. He is an Honorary Life Member of both the Detroit District Dental Society and the Michigan State Dental Ass’n and in 1956 will be a Life member of the American Dental Ass’n. He served on the Council of the Detroit District Dental Society and served on many of its committees. In 1953 this Society presented him with “An Award of Merit” in recognition of outstanding service to the Society. He is a Charter Member and Past President of the Northern Dental Club of Detroit. He is a Past President and a Charter Member of the Highland Park Kiwanis Club: has received the Legion of Honor and 25 year pin from its International. He has served on the Highland Park Salvation Army Advisory Board continuously since 1935 and has received the Salvation Army Advisory Board Plaque. He is a Past Chancellor Commander of the Knights of Pythias, he is a Past Master and Life Member of the Masonic Fraternity, a Past Patron of the Eastern Star, a Royal Arch Mason, a member of the Council of Royal and Select Masters will be a Life member of these last three in 1956; is a member of the Grand Ledge Harry W. Mack Low Twelve Club a charitable masonic Club named in his Honor. He is a member of the Detroit Society for Genealogical Research.15
